(More customer reviews)Got this for Christmas four years ago and it is still running fine!
Pros:
*Great sound. Very clear. No fuzz.
*Remote! (ok, nerd...i like remotes...) Has all the buttons/functions you would need, and none you don't. Great range.
*Rear component sound input. I have my PC sound running through it right now, but you could run anything (game system, DVD player...) through it if you wanted.
*3 CD changer--not 5, but still plenty.
*Wakeup/sleep timer. Never failed yet!
*Simple front
*Double tape deck--lets you dub from another tape, a CD, or the radio
*Tuner with programmable channels
*Plenty of power. I hooked up an extra set of speakers for "surround sound" and had no problem!
*Great layout of front panel
*Looks sharp!
*Front headphone jack
*Plenty of programmed "Mixes" (flat, pops, rock, classic, vocal, jazz, x-bass)
*Speakers look great, and sound better!
*Programmable playlists--you can lay out an entire playlist from your 3 loaded CD's. I have never done it because I can do it easier through my PC, but it would be kinda neat otherwise!
*Schedule recording. I know we don't listen to the radio a lot--but if you do and want to schedule a tape to record, this will do it!Cons:
The ONLY con that I have is that there is no pause button on the stereo itself--only on the remote.
This truly has been a great unit. I am sure for those that want to shake an entire apartment building there are more powerful stereos out there. For anyone that doesn't want to spend a million dollars, this is the unit for you.
