(More customer reviews)I purchased this item because it had a red digital readout so that it would not light up the entire bedroom. That was fine but after receiving the unit and trying it out, I discovered that the alarm does not work with the iPod. One must manually operate the iPod as the clock will not communicate with it. If I listen to my iPod before going to sleep then the alarm will go to iPod mode in the morning but it will not turn on the iPod. It is NOT an iPod alarm clock, it is merely an radio alarm clock through which one can play an iPod.
