(More customer reviews)This is a great product if you do not want to move the cd player or mp3 player far from the radio you are using to transmit. I use this for my mp3/cd player and my sisters ipod on my stereo instead of wasting batteries on my media speakers and it worked well when I had the transmitter inches from the stereo, anything more than that and it gets very staticky with a lot of white noise. It does it's job but it doesn't do it well

Play your portable music player in the car without upgrading to an expensive new stereo system with the Arkon SF150A SoundFeeder. The wireless FM adapter is designed to transmit the music from a portable CD player, iPod, or MP3 player to an empty frequency on your FM dial. All you have to do is plug the SF150A into your player's 3.5 mm headphone jack, and then tune the radio to any one of the blank FM stations between 88.1 and 95.9 MHz. (The transmitter works best when the station plays nothing but static.) Once you find an empty frequency, the SF150A plays your music directly through your car's stereo speakers. The sound quality is solid and reliable, though it does require precise manual tuning for best results.
Listeners can also use the SF150A on other radios as well, such as home stereos or portable boomboxes. And at a mere 3.38 by 1.62 by 0.88 inches (W x H x D), the SoundFeeder takes up very little space, letting you store it in a cup holder, pocket, or other location. The SF150A runs for up to 60 hours on two AAA batteries (not included) and boasts a transmission range of 10 to 20 feet, depending on conditions. It also comes with a 6.5-inch audio cord.

Radio: Maybe I'm slow or something but I've yet been able to find a great position for the FM wire antenna to get clear reception so this is why I gave 4 stars.
Remote: As the other reviewer said, my remote was also dead on delivery but I found a cheap 5 pack of the cell batteries here on Amazon so the problem was fixed soon enough.
Potential buyers should make note of the fact that this product only charges certain types and generations of iPods. It won't charge my 3rd generation 32GB iTouch...

(More customer reviews)I got this as a bonus when I purchased an Aiptek camera. This thing truly is a piece of garbage. The clarity of the audio is horrible. It seems like it is pushing way too much power through a tiny speaker. It sounded broken straight out of the box. The dock on top is useless, because it offers no way to charge your camera. It has a small lead-in, where you can feed the power adapter from your own charging cable, but it is really just a big hassle. I haven't touched it since I first tried it, and I would have returned it if I didn't get it for free. I don't even think it deserves a single star.

I have been looking for one of these systems for my ipod, but have felt that they were too expensive. Natually, when I saw that this was under $50, I could not resist. Boy I sure should have! The item itself looks nice, and it is very easy to use, but the sound SUCKS!! No, I don't expect Bose sound, but I would'nt expect heavy distortion! Yes, as I listened to music, what accompanied it was a constant buzzing and humming sound. I found that the only way to make the sound to go away was to set the ipod backlight to be on all of the time! Besides the humming, the sound would "crackle" if you touched the unit while it was in use. The loud humming and distortion was louder than the music. I had to crank up the volume to almost maxium setting to overpower the distortion! I returned mine, got a refund, and bought the JBL Portable Sound System (totally awsome!!!) I guess you get what you pay for; so please heed my warning, and stay faw away from this product.

Belkin TuneCast FM transmitter ( F8V367-DL ) Review

(More customer reviews)Basically, this thing has a really weak transmitter. I tried using this indoors with both a Denon receiver and a cheaper Sony receiver. Nothing came through on those receivers, though the TuneCast was able to interfere with a couple stations. Sadly, there was even less audible on the frequencies with no stations.
Fortunately, I did find a frequency in my car, and the Alpine head unit was able to pick up a signal. I was able to use it for a while... the static wasn't too bad. However, as soon as I drove within range of any other signals, no matter how weak they were, the TuneCast was totally overridden. This thing probably needs about 10 dB of gain to be a viable transmitter, even for a range of 10 feet.
Quite simply, check your airwaves for 88.1, .3, .5. and .7. If you're in a large city or college town, those frequencies are probably littered with college radio or public access stations... no matter how weak they are, they will dominate this guy.
Avoid this. The Griffin iTrip works reasonably well, and is a better allocation of your hard-earned funds.

The only problem i had was setting the fm transmitter to a channel that didn't have any interference from radio stations. Problem solved by connecting Sirius's FM direct Adapter(which connects through the cars antenna plug). No more static in any city. So the only real problem is that this car kit doesn't come with the FM direct adapter which was $20.

(More customer reviews)I received my in a timely manner. it installed easily and worked well...for a while. I purchased this product in June. the summer heat here got in the high 90's, so the inside heat in my white pickup was pretty hot. my lanzar unit kept trying to default to DVD mode and sometimes the screen wouldn't come on untill the A/C cooled things down a bit.
The music sounds great and the DVD picture and sound is great, the radio reception could definitely be better. But the graphics of the display while in radio and aux mode are really bad. All the touch buttons work fine but look like 1980's software graphics, it's embarrassing and i found no way to do visual upgrades. There's also a usb port on the front that i never was able to use but tried, there's no clear instruction how to use it.
Ok, so now it's October and we had a cold front move through. I got in my pickup early that morning and the temperature was about 25 degrees. the display quit working permanently but everything else still works, even the touch screen. but it's hard to navigate a touch screen with no display.
All in all everything worked how expected but it doesn't do extreme temperature too well. if you think that was extreme..
