The slim manual gives a couple tips--like turning up the source volume--so clearly they know there's an issue, but nothing really helps. If you want something small and easy to carry around in a pretty quiet environment, this is dandy. However, in the shower, with a not-particularly-loud vent fan on, it is unusable. Given that it is sold for the shower, that really sucks!
I emailed their tech support on their website weeks ago to see if there were more tips I could try--no reply. That's the real final straw.
