What it doesn't say is that it that you will get a message stating that it will only work in AIRPLANE MODE. Click "NO" to NOT go into AIRPLANE mode and it wil work fine anyway.
Also, you can skip connecting the charging piece and only connect the sound/headphone output to the FM transmitter -- it works fine as well.

It seems to be a different branded version of FlexPod X2 Premium Car Mount System with Auto-Seek Signal Intensifying FM Transmitter & Charger for Apple iPhone 3G / 3GS / iPod / Touch / Nano / Classic - MAX-Stability DC Mounting Design - so I will not repeat what has already been covered in the reviews for that product.
I have been using it for the last 2 weeks and have saved 4 frequencies that work in our city. With just press of a button, one can change to a free frequency as soon as some noise starts creeping in which is unavoidable in a dense city like seattle.
Overall installation was a breeze, just put the 2 pieces together and plug it into the car jack. I can see how Iphone 3G/3GS users can have slight problems with thick cases but Iphone 4G was a nice fit. The back adjuster knob is a nice addition that securely holds the phone.
For handsfree calling, simply plug the included 3.5 cable into iphone and the mount and done. The music pauses when the call comes in. The voice quality is superb - make sure that the iphone mic is not too far from you.
Overall, I love this device. A++.

The 'snake arm' adjusts to fit the power outlet in my car, and there is a tilt ability for the actual holder. This fits my iPhone 3G with a thick case on. It can also adjust smaller than that for a regular iPod. The sound quality is near perfect - you just have to turn up the radio a little higher than normal. The FM transmitter adjusts to any FM channel.
I would definitely recommend this product to anyone. This isn't a name brand product, but I would consider it comparable to one. I've been looking to buy one for a little while now, and have seen them going for $70 and up. This is a steal at $22!

Seidio Innotraveler Car Kit for HTC EVO 4G - Black Review

(More customer reviews)I have been looking for decent accessories for my EVO 4G since I purchased it at Radio Shack, they had a fairly ok range of standard accessories but nothing like this Seidio car kit.
This is a quality product, it has a strong suction cup and arm that sticks to either the windscreen or the supplied self adhesive plastic disc for mounting to other surfaces like a dashboard, The fit and finish are as good if not better than original equipment, the phone holder comes with an insert that allows it to be used with a stock phone and case, however if you remove the insert it make more room for those sensible people who have opted to put function over form and purchased the extended life battery (3500 mA) and cover/protective case from Seidio as I have, this allows the phone to be slid in place with a gentle push and accommodate perfectly the larger dimensions of the phone.
Once inserted the phone is charged via the supplied car charger lead, this only fits the mount and will not power the phone directly as it uses a different micro USB connector, but then why would you want to do that when you have a solid and secure place to place the phone and charge it at the same time? anyway once inserted it charges the phone and the dashboard software application on the EVO switches on (This can be deactivated in the settings) it also asks you if you want to connect to a specific Bluetooth device, once you have answered yes or no the dashboard allows you to use the phone well in the cradle, in fact if you rotate the mount on the ball joint through 90 degrees with the phone inserted, you would be hard pushed when in the Google Navigation application to distinguish this from a fully fledged SatNav due to the size of the display and the quality look and feel of the mount, which blends well with the phone case's soft rubber coating which is the same that is used on the mount.
I have used my one for about 3 weeks so far and it has been great, not problems with it moving or falling off, no problems with the fit or connections.. it is a solid product and I would recommend this purchase to anyone with an EVO 4G and a car/boat.

(More customer reviews)In theory, this is a cool gadget, but I'm not sure it's worth the money. (I use it for my BB Curve 8900 from T-mobile.) My top 3 "LIKES" is that my BB fits snugly in the holster, I can charge other devices using the USB plug, and I can now talk hands-free. My top 4 "DISLIKES" is that I have to turn the phone upside down in order for the USB port not to be blocked by the cradle, when I put the phone in the cradle, it sometimes depresses the voice dial button, the FM Transmitter is weak so if I want to listen to my music on my phone I will just use the speakerphone option, and because my cigarette lighter is low, I tend to bump into it when I shift the car into park. I will still continue using it, but it wasn't as awesome as I hoped it would be.

(More customer reviews)I have to say, I am disappointed. I bought this for my husband for Christmas and it's pretty worthless. The sound quality is horrible when using the FM transmitter, it does not charge the iPod as promised, the part that plugs in to the cigarette lighter moves and our iPod has face planted a few times(ouch!). The cord that connects the iPod to the car (our car has the mp3 port(thingy) in it) works reasonably well. The only problem is if it turns the wrong way you get this loud, awful noise. I say spend a little extra money and get something of quality.

(More customer reviews)Saw the reviews here - many are just plain incorrect, very likely they did not bother to read the manual, which as the quickstart guide says 'the full version is online at jabra'.
A few examples:
Voice dialing: If your phone has this capability - you can voice dial no problem: Record the voiceprint for a number (via your phones feature), preferably while using the speakerphone so its better matched, then to use it 'press' - hold button for approx 1sec - (as opposed to tap, which is means 'quick click") the main answer button then say name - works fine, even with an old moto razr phone.
Power: Again, RTM - to save power (a great feature), the speakerphone sleeps after 10 minutes: To wake up, rather than cycle the less handy power switch, simply tap the main answer button
Bright lights: There is a way to go into night mode: "Press FM and volume up button simultaneously when the speakerphone is on. The light will then turn off. You can turn the lights back on with another press."
C'mon folks, take the two minutes to read the actual manual.
As for the rest - I've only had it a little while - the voice quality seems fine, the FM works great when the convertible top is down (Not often right now, even in CA) and the thing works quite well so far.
Bonus: The charger comes in two pieces so that you can use the USB to micro USB cable with your computer to charge it if you want. Conversely, I can now charge my old razr with by plugging in my USB to mini USB into its lighter adapter. Handy.

It's a good FM transmitter when it comes to sound. The quality of the music is excellent compared to a lot of FM transmitters on the market. It's pretty easy to use, you just match the FM station on the Flexpod to the station on your car radio. It does what you expect it to do.
Some improvements from the old Flexpod are:
-New hands-free call microphone
-Rubberized DC barrel for better grip in the outlet
-Surge protection
-Black silicon rubber grips with wider wings to fit more iPhones and iPods with cases
-Fully rotating head so you can view it in landscape or vertical
-Better FM chipset
It performs well just like the old one, but with the added features the product has deinfitely taken a step up.
Hands-free can be tricky sometimes. Call quality is REALLY GOOD when you have a good station with little interference, and when you have 4 or 5 bars. If conditions aren't very good, the call quality can have some static. With the old version, sometimes people would have a hard time hearing my voice(due to interfence or something i'm not sure why...), but now there is a mini built-in microphone that picks up voice so that problem seems to be fixed with this new version.
I have friends that have Belkin and Griffin brands, but the FM signal doesn't seem to be as good... I like mine, and I think they paid something like $70.00 from costco for theirs.

(More customer reviews)(UPDATED) This kit comes with 2 methods to connect to your car stereo: 1) using an AUX jack or 2) using the PowerConnect feature (FM transmitter) built in to the XMp3i player itself.
After receiving the XMp3i for my birthday, I ordered the car kit so I could enjoy satellite radio in my vehicle (2002 Chevrolet Trailblazer). The cable for the antenna is nice and long, so you can run it from your dash, all the way to the top/rear of the car, with a little leftover. All of the cables plug into the dock, so you can remove your XMp3i and hide it or take it with you without any hassle. It comes with a remote control, which I thought was silly at first, but after using it, I realized that it's much easier to use the remote when driving, than to use the buttons on the player. As long as you position the antenna like the instructions describe, the reception is just as good as a factory installed XM radio (I've had both).
It comes with two mounting methods (dashboard mount or clips for your air conditioning vent). If you use the adhesive dashboard mount, make sure you know exactly where you want it, since it only comes supplied with a single adhesive strip. Otherwise, you'll have to go buy some of those super-adhesive foam strips made by 3M. Certainly not a deal-killer, but a little annoying.
Overall, the car kit from XM was easy to install. Now I can listen to satellite radio on those long road trips! Hooray!
